Job Details- Location: Atlantic City, NJ 08401 (Atlantic City healthcare, New Jersey nursing jobs)
- Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) – LTAC nurse role
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (3x12-hour shifts per week) – Night Shift RN
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 – $1,940
- Hours per Week: 36 (option for up to 48 hours)
- Start Date: 05/11/2026
- Employment Type: Travel, On-Site – travel nursing job
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state required for travel RN)
- BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- Minimum 1 year of bedside clinical experience (2 years highly desired)
- Experience in LTAC, sub-acute, or similar acute care settings preferred (LTAC nurse experience)
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans within 8 hours of patient admission
- Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and contribute to patient rehabilitation programs
- Initiate discharge planning and patient/family education from the day of admission
- Promote patient and employee safety, adhering to all hospital safety protocols
- Communicate changes in patient status to the care team to ensure continuity and safety
- Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment and participate in team-building activities
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation
- Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education (continuing education for RNs)
