We are seeking a diligent and enthusiastic Prep Cook to join our culinary team. As a Prep Cook, you will play a critical role in supporting our kitchen operations by preparing ingredients and ensuring that our team maintains the highest standards of food quality and safety.If you are passionate about the culinary arts and eager to grow your skills in a fast-paced, dynamic restaurant environment, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, cutting meats, and preparing sauces.
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes or as directed by the head chef.
- Ensure that all food items are properly stored and labeled in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area, ensuring all equipment and tools are cleaned regularly.
- Assist with inventory and stock supplies as required.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support the kitchen staff as needed, including dishwashing and general cleaning duties.
- Maintain a positive and accommodating attitude as part of a collaborative culinary team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of culinary equipment and techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality food preparation standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
