Job Description- Support the engineering and design of overhead transmission line projects from conceptual design through construction.
- Assist with:
- PLS-CADD modeling
- Sag and tension calculations
- Structure spotting and profiling
- Conductor and shield wire selection
- Foundation loading calculations
- Prepare engineering deliverables including:
- Plan and profile drawings
- Stringing charts
- Bill of materials
- Construction packages
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including civil, geotechnical, environmental, and substation groups.
- Support design reviews and quality assurance activities.
- Ensure compliance with utility standards, NESC requirements, and project specifications.
- Participate in client meetings and project coordination calls.
- Provide limited field and construction support as needed.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Transmission Line Engineer II should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- 3-4 years of transmission line engineering experience.
- Experience with 230kV+ transmission projects.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Exposure to high-voltage transmission projects preferred.
- Familiarity with:
- PLS-CADD
- AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of transmission line engineering principles and industry standards.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
