Civil Roadway Engineer (Transportation)
Position Location: Hybrid/Remote Akron, Cleveland, or Columbus
Local A&E firm is seeking a motivated and technically driven Designer to assist engineers and landscape architects in the development of construction plans for trails, roadways, sidewalks, and active transportation projects.
Duties:Actively engage in assigned projects including reviewing project specifications to ensure complete and accurate drawings and documentation; traveling to project sites; and creating detailed drawings and maps using CAD software; collaborating with the project manager to prepare project reports and plans.
Coordinate printing and assembly of specification books, binding of reports, and production of final plans and exhibits for in-house review, clients, and government agencies.Review and check detailed drawings and layouts in support of the QA/QC process.
Qualifications: Associate or Technical Degree is required; Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- 5 Years of experience is required
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD, and other industry software
Experience in trail and/or multi-modal transportation, or the motivation to learn this specialty, is requiredTravel is primarily local during the business day.
Must have a valid driver's license and possess a driving record that will enable the employee to be insurable under the Company's standard vehicle insurance and general comprehensive liability insurance without additional costs to the Company.
Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
