Associate Scientist - Onsite
Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Associate Scientist for an Onsite position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in South San Francisco, CA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
This role will support biomarker discovery initiatives using human samples, such as whole blood and PBMCs. The focus will be on generating high-quality, reproducible data within a highly collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Execute and analyze experiments with minimal supervision
- Work with human samples (PBMCs, whole blood) using established protocols
- Generate, document, and interpret data
- Optimize assays and troubleshoot experiments
- Operate key lab platforms and ensure data quality
- Communicate results and collaborate across teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or a related field and 2 years of experience OR Master's degree OR Associate's degree and 4 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 6 years of experience
- Strong hands-on lab skills and experience with human samples
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Experience with Flow cytometry, Luminex, and ELISA
- Experience with cell culture (primary immune cells preferred)
- Experience with RNA extraction and qPCR
- Strong lab execution and attention to detail
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Pay range: up to $30.32 per hour
