Heavy Warehouse Associate
Job Description
As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring freight moves efficiently and safely through the facility. You’ll work alongside a knowledgeable management team with deep experience in the transportation and logistics industry.This is a hands-on, fast-paced position ideal for individuals who thrive in an active warehouse environment.
What You’ll Do- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
- Match purchase orders to sales orders and distribute orders for processing
- Read and interpret customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions
- Move, gather, distribute, and ship products accurately
- Maintain a safe, clean, and accessible warehouse environment
- Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times
- Assemble products and assist with inventory counts as needed
- Take check calls from drivers to ensure on-time deliveries
- Validate load data prior to marking loads delivered for accounting purposes
- Monitor daily pickups and deliveries and confirm condition and timeliness
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to apply critical thinking to follow written, verbal, or diagram instructions
- Availability to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends as freight volumes vary
- Dock or warehouse experience in the transportation or logistics industry
- Experience loading and unloading trailers
- Experience using handheld scanners
- Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds
- Ability to load and unload trucks
Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
