Location: CCA 333 Inverness Dr S Ste 100 Englewood CO 80112
Employment Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Compensation: Hourly - $60 per hour
Reporting Period: August 1 – May 31 (school breaks off except required staff development days)
Hours: 9 hours per week & as needed for Christmas Production: Tuesday - Thursday 11:45 am-1:45 pm & Friday 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Position Overview:
The Part-Time Theater Teacher plays a meaningful role in helping students grow in confidence, creativity, communication, and collaboration through the performing arts. This role contributes to CCA’s mission by creating a joyful, Christ-centered classroom environment where students are encouraged to use their God-given gifts to serve and encourage others.Through engaging theater instruction and performance experiences, students develop discipline, teamwork, and courage while building meaningful relationships with peers and teachers. The Theater Teacher also supports CCA’s commitment to cultivating well-rounded students who flourish spiritually, academically, and relationally.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead age-appropriate theater activities, rehearsals, and performances
- Provide engaging theater instruction for students in grades 4–6 and middle school students (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday) and Middle School (Fridays)
- Foster creativity, confidence, collaboration, and communication skills in students
- Create a positive, Christ-centered classroom culture that encourages participation and growth
- Coordinate and support student performances, presentations, or showcases as appropriate
- Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and school leadership regarding student progress and program needs as needed
- Assist with school programs, performances, or special events as needed
- Support broader Fine Arts initiatives and collaboration opportunities
- Help maintain theater materials, props, costumes, and classroom organization
- Participate in applicable staff meetings and professional development opportunities when requested
- Encourage student participation and enthusiasm in the performing arts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Teaching certification or eligibility
- Elementary teaching experience preferred
- Commitment to Christian education
Contingency:
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background checks and compliance with all applicable state and licensing requirements.
