Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – 13-week travel assignment in Lubbock, TX (79410) at a Level II Trauma Center. Night shift travel nursing job ideal for ER nurses with 2+ years of emergency nursing experience and required certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS).
Job Details – ER RN / Travel Nurse- Location: Lubbock, Texas (79410) – West Texas nursing job at a Level II Trauma Center
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 05/04/2026 – End: 08/03/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts; 3 shifts per week (19:00 – 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 – $2,040
- Scheduling: Block scheduling available; night shift / emergency department (ED) nursing
- Parking: Free employee/visitor parking
- Active Registered Nurse license (compact RN license accepted; license must be submitted with application)
- Minimum 2 years recent emergency department (ED) / ER nursing experience (required)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
- Proficient with Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting
- Community hospital experience required; Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
- Availability to work 6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks and 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years (required for compliance)
- Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages in a busy ER setting
- Manage patient ratios typically 1:3 and prioritize care in high-acuity situations
- Triage, assess, and treat a wide range of diagnoses including stroke, STEMI, trauma, respiratory distress, and sepsis
- Perform advanced clinical skills: BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator care, central line care, IV vasopressors, and dysrhythmia recognition/management
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams (respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social work, and physicians)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EHR
- Follow hospital policies, infection control protocols, and dress code (solid navy blue scrubs)
- Complete orientation and required training modules to ensure safe, compliant practice
