Description
American Traveler is hiring a dual-modality CT Tech / X-Ray Tech with stroke and trauma experience for a night shift contract in a hospital setting in Florida.
Details- Hospital-based CT and general X-Ray setting serving inpatient and outpatient populations
- Patient population spans all ages, from neonates to older adults
- Dual modality role requiring operation as both a CT Tech and X-Ray Tech
- Procedures and skills include Abdomen/GI/Pelvis, Chest/Thorax, Head/Neck, Upper/Lower Extremity, Spine/Pelvis/Musculoskeletal, portables, CTA, CCTA (preferred), Brain Perfusion, Multiplanar Reconstruction (preferred), contrast media preparation and administration, IV starts, and isolation precautions
- CT scanner is the Siemens GoTop
- Epic EMR experience required
- PACS system experience required
- 3x12-hour night shifts, Thursday through Saturday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 2–3 on-call shifts per month, activated only when a staff member calls out
- Hurricane response sign-up is required
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as both a Rad Tech and CT Tech (2 years total across both modalities)
- Stroke and trauma experience required
- Active FL CRT and ARRT certification required
- Current BLS certification required via AHA or ARC
- Epic EMR experience required
- FL license or compact license required if applicable
- All certifications must be current and active
- Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility are considered, though a lower pay rate applies
- Facility is smoke-free
- Proof of vaccination status is required — declinations are not accepted
- Pass/fail EKG and Basic Arrhythmia assessment may be required depending on unit assignment
- Candidates who do not score 100% on the lethal rhythms section may be required to retake a dysrhythmia exam within 24 hours and must achieve an overall Angoff score of 83% or greater, 100% on the lethal rhythm section, and 83% on all other sections
- A study guide and tips to help prepare for the arrhythmia assessment are available through the facility's online orientation materials
