Job Description
The RF Mechanical Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Design and develop complex mechanical packaging and enclosures for RF and microwave microelectronic assemblies.
- Support mechanical hardware design from conceptual layouts through detailed design and production release.
- Collaborate with RF/Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Test, Quality, and Procurement teams to ensure design requirements are met.
- Utilize CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD) to create new designs and modify existing components for performance and manufacturability.
- Support prototype builds, including hands‑on collaboration with technicians during assembly and testing.
- Design fixtures to support product testing and advanced manufacturing processes.
- Assist Operations in transitioning newly developed products into full‑rate production.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation, records, and design files.

The Successful Applicant- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, including at least 3 years in a senior‑level role.
- Proven experience with electronic packaging and enclosure design.
- Working knowledge of chip and wire assembly processes.
- Understanding of RF/microwave packaging challenges and mechanical considerations.
- Familiarity with end‑to‑end design processes, from concept through manufacturing support.
- Experience with standard manufacturing practices for mechanical components and assemblies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance (active clearance preferred)
