- Assignment Length: 13 weeks

- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860 – $1,960 (competitive travel nursing pay)
- Employment Type: Travel, W2 (travel RN assignment)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state of assignment requirements apply)
- BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- Minimum 2 years of recent bedside clinical experience
- Experience in LTAC, long-term acute care nursing, or similar acute/post-acute settings preferred
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and contribute to patient rehabilitation programs
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly
- Initiate discharge planning and patient/family education from the day of admission
- Promote and maintain patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital safety policies and procedures
- Communicate changes in patient status to the care team and seek consultation as needed
- Contribute positively to team building and a supportive work environment
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities as requested after orientation
Preferred candidates are travel RNs with LTAC, step-down, critical care, or rehabilitation experience and strong clinical assessment skills. This role is well-suited for RNs seeking short-term travel nursing assignments or Virginia nursing jobs focused on complex, post-acute patient care.
