Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a travel contract in a high-acuity IR department serving a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics.
Details- Work in an Interventional Radiology department at an academic medical center in Portland, OR
- Position rotates between two IR locations within the same hospital system
- Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics
- Procedures include central line placements, embolizations, stroke interventions, and a wide range of vascular and non-vascular imaging-guided interventions
- Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Call requirement averaging 4–6 shifts per month
- Floating to an affiliated nearby hospital may be required; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
- Epic EMR experience required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operation of radiologic equipment, or an equivalent combination of specialized training and experience
- Current ARRT certification and BLS required
- OBMI certification required
- Active Oregon state license required if applicable
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required for consideration; charge RN references are not acceptable
- COVID vaccination proof required; no exemptions
- Provide direct patient care using medical imaging techniques to assist interventionalists in diagnosis and treatment
- Assist with radiographic procedures to demonstrate vascular and non-vascular structures for interpretation and/or therapeutic intervention
- Responsible for ensuring radiation safety for patients and all team members involved in procedures
- First-time travelers should verify eligibility prior to applying
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate; no radius restriction applies
- Former employees or previous travelers at this facility must have a reference completed by the supervising manager from that assignment
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
- Requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration and may not exceed 2 weeks
