Northrop Grumman is seeking Mission Assurance Engineers.This position will be located on-site at our Aeronautics Systems sector in Clearfield, UT.
This position will be assigned to C Shift (Fridays- Sundays, 6:00AM
- 6:00PM). This position may be filled as either an Associate Mission Assurance Engineer or Mission Assurance Engineer.
- Develop and implement program quality inspection plans
- Work with the Engineering team to ensure that part requirements are correctly described and documented in the production work plans
- Participate with corrective action or improvement teams and promote the use of data to assist in the improvement effort
- Preparation of first article inspection packages for internal approval or presentation to the final customer
- Processing of Material Review Board (MRB) nonconformances
- Supports the Program, Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams with data analytics for improvement processes
- Conduct or support internal audits, process observations, and area assessments
- Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met Basic Qualifications: Basic Qualifications for an Associate Mission Assurance Engineer: A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must: * Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution by August 2026
- Be majoring in or having majored in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, or other related STEM degree program
- Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Special Access Program clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
- A final U.S. Secret security clearance is required to start
- The ability to travel up to 10%
- The ability to work C Shift (Fridays
- Sundays, 6:00AM
- 6:00PM) Basic Qualifications for a Mission Assurance Engineer: A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria.
- Be completing or has completed their Master's degree from an accredited institution
- Be majoring in or having majored in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, or other related STEM degree program
- Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Special Access Program clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

- 6:00PM) Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
- Knowledge of Inspection Plans and First Article Inspections
- Prior aircraft manufacturing experience
- Ability to read and interpret GD&T drawings
- Knowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action methods
- Knowledge of continuous improvement principles
- Knowledge of data analysis methods and tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)
- Knowledge of Composites
- Active Secret security clearance Salary Range: * Associate Mission Assurance Engineer: $65,800 - $ 98,800/year
