Job Description- Prepare and review state and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Assist with state and local tax audits, including gathering documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Analyze and research complex tax issues to provide effective solutions and strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support tax filings and audits.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper tax treatment of business transactions.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, advising management of potential impacts.
- Support tax planning initiatives to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax positions.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions.

The Successful Applicant
A successful SALT Tax Accountant should have:
- Strong knowledge of state and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
