Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,224 per week
Slate Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Hastings, Nebraska.

- # Beds: 30 all private, average census 20.
- Nurse : Patient Ratios: 1:4-6
- Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Dementia, post surgical, falls, influenza, pneumonia, failure to thrive, cancer patients, COVID.
- Experience: Chest tubes-preferred experience, pain management, TPN, CBI, wounds.
- Are RNs required to titrate drips: No
- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor?: Charge nurse- will take patients.
- Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: Yes, generally have 2-3.
- RT Equipment: Yes- CPAP with RT to manage.
- Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit?: Tele on the floor.
- Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hours 7-7.
Travelers will fill in gaps of first schedule.
- Weekend Requirements: Generally every 3rd weekend but may be more based on need- they just ask for flexibility.
- Holiday Requirements: Every 3rd holiday- please expect to work one of the winter holidays.
- Is there call or a standby requirement?: No requirement.
- Floating Requirements: can float to PCU-taking Med Surg overflow or very low acuity PCU patients.
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any solid color- no pattern/design.
- Unit/Department specific orientation: Two days of nursing department orientation and one day on the floor.
