Maintenance Technician – Extended Stay Hotel (Weekly Stays)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support our weekly extended-stay hotel properties (Envi North & Envi South).
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all guest units and common areas are well-maintained, fully functional, and guest-ready at all times. You’ll play a critical role in unit turns, preventative maintenance, and rapid-response service, helping deliver a clean, safe, and comfortable experience for every guest.
Essential Functions: (Include but are not limited to):
Accountability- Take ownership of assigned work orders and ensure timely completion in a fast-paced, high-turn environment
- Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance and upcoming needs
- Participate in on-call rotations as needed
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests
- Ensure issues are resolved efficiently with minimal disruption to guests
- Foster positive relationships with guests, team members, and vendors
- Perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general building systems
- Complete carpentry work including drywall, cabinetry, doors/locks, and fixtures
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues quickly to minimize downtime of rentable units
- Support unit readiness and turnovers, ensuring rooms meet company standards for incoming guests
- Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, building systems, and common areas
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failure and costly repairs
- Perform safety checks including lighting, fire/life systems, and overall property condition
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and functionality of common areas and exterior grounds
- Identify and address potential hazards proactively
- Assist during property emergencies (e.g., water leaks, power issues, weather-related events)
- Coordinate with vendors and assist in overseeing subcontracted work when needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus
- 2+ years of maintenance experience (hospitality, hotels, apartments, or related field preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently and efficiently
- Strong customer service mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and on-call
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to climb stairs/ladders and work in confined or mechanical spaces
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and maintenance systems
- Ability to communicate effectively and use mobile devices/tablets for work orders
