- Duration: 13 weeks (May 26, 2026 – August 23, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:30), 36 hours/week
- Openings: 6 travel RN positions
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
- Employment Type: Travel Contract (travel nursing job / contract RN)
- Minimum 1 year recent PCU or neuroscience nursing experience (neuro RN, stroke, post-op neuro care)
- Active RN license in North Carolina or valid multistate compact RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythms; must pass EKG exam during orientation
- Flu vaccination required
- Must live outside an 80-mile radius of Greenville, NC at assignment start
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to assignment confirmation
- Neuro experience preferred (NIHSS, stroke protocols, neuro assessments)
- EPIC EMR experience preferred (electronic medical record experience)
- Experience with arterial/central lines, IV drips, telemetry monitoring, and post-op neuro care
- Provide direct patient care for acute stroke management (ischemic, hemorrhagic, SAH) and post-neurosurgical patients (craniotomy, ventriculostomy, complex neuro-spine)
- Perform comprehensive neurologic assessments including NIHSS; collaborate on stroke protocols and rapid response when indicated
- Care for patients with seizures (epilepsy, post-ictal), multiple sclerosis, Guillain-Barré, and other complex neurological conditions
- Assist with lumbar puncture procedures, tracheotomy care, lumbar drains, and post-op neuro management
- Manage arterial and central lines, start IVs, perform peripheral and arterial blood draws, and administer IV drips (cardiac, insulin, heparin)
- Monitor and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry strips; respond to changes in patient status
- Maintain appropriate patient assignments—typical ratio 1:4 or 1:5 depending on acuity
- Work required holiday and weekend coverage as scheduled (3 out of 4 holidays; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and follow facility policies/procedures
