Responsibilities:
The Transplant financial coordinator (TFC) will be a designated member of the Lung Transplant Team responsible for the financial coordination of hospital and physician services for pre and post lung transplant patients.
• Primary responsibility includes but not limited to verification of medical and pharmacy benefit coverage, outpatient prescription drugs, organ acquisition, post transplant clinic visits, travel and housing during the transplant period.
• The TFC will consult with patients and their support system to clarify patient specific financial responsibilities required for all aspects of care for lung transplant from evaluation for transplantation through post transplant.
• TFC will maintain a detailed database of patient insurance benefit coverage for all aspects of the transplant process as well as serve as a resource for patients and transplant team members.
• TFC will communicate and work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary teams (insurance case managers payers administrative contracting personnel admitting transplant coordinator) to ensure quality and cost-effective care for transplant patients and the institution (St. Josephs).
Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days. This program provides debt relief and student loan assistance to help you achieve your goals. Full-time employees can receive up to $18,000 over five years, while part-time employees can receive up to $9,000.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
High School Diploma / GED
Two to three years of related experience.
Experience with MS Office required.
Preferred:
AA degree
Five years related experience.
