Process Engineer
A Global Manufacturer is seeking a Process Engineer to join their team in the Reading, PA area! The ideal candidate will bring metallurgical experience to direct process improvement for new product development. Requirements include a BS in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or similar, and 3+ years of process improvement within a manufacturing and laboratory environment.
Hot metals or powder metals is a plus!
All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

salary: $100,000 - 125,000 per year

responsibilities:
- Conduct R&D to optimize processes and develop new products.
- Lead technology transfers to manufacturing and draft Capital Appropriation Requests for equipment upgrades.
- Provide metallurgical expertise to Production, Sales, and Quality teams
- Review customer specifications, run process capability reports, and resolve technical CAPAs.
- Author SOPs and Workstation Procedures in compliance with safety and quality systems.
- Evaluate emerging industry technologies and report progress to the Director of Operations.
Requirements:
- B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or similar science field
- At least 3 years of process improvement experience in manufacturing; hot metals preferred
- Laboratory experience
- Excellent communication and organization skills to work with technical and non technical groups
- Experience with new product development
