About the Role
As a Customer Service Representative (BCS), you'll serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking assistance with important social service programs. Every call is an opportunity to provide guidance, answer questions, and deliver exceptional customer care with professionalism, patience, and empathy.
Your ability to actively listen, communicate clearly, and resolve concerns efficiently will help ensure every caller receives the support they deserve.
Outstanding attendance and reliability are essential for success in this role.
What You'll DoAnswer high-volume inbound calls from program applicants and recipients.
Provide accurate information regarding social service programs and benefits.
Document all customer interactions thoroughly and accurately.
Follow established scripts, policies, and procedures.
Research questions and resolve issues while maintaining quality standards.
Demonstrate compassion and empathy when assisting callers in difficult situations.
Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.
Identify trends in customer inquiries and communicate them to leadership.
Meet and exceed daily goals for customer service, call quality, and productivity.

Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required
Minimum of 6 months of call center experience
OR
Associate degree (or higher) may substitute for the required call center experience
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to pass a 30 WPM typing test
