- Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown — cardiac, surgical, respiratory focus
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state (travel nurse friendly)
- BLS and ACLS required; NIH Stroke Certification required
- Dysrhythmia Exam required (study guide available)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience; acute care hospital, stepdown, or telemetry experience preferred
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop evidence-based care plans for PCU/stepdown patients
- Manage cardiac, surgical, and respiratory patients, including care of post-op drains, wound vacs, and cardiac drips
- Administer medications safely (IV push, cardiac drips) and monitor response
- Provide continuous cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition, and rapid response for changing patient conditions
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, RRT, LPNs, PCAs) and serve as a patient safety advocate
- Maintain professional nursing standards and documented, patient-centered care in an acute care setting
