Operations Manager / MI (Hybrid) Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Manager to assess the stability, integrity, and compliance of production systems. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing deployments, triggering production issues, maintaining system performance, and acting as a key liaison for security and compliance initiatives.
A strong understanding of cloud computing, cybersecurity frameworks, and IT operations best practices is essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: Maintain production system integrity by overseeing and supporting all deployment activities, including coordinating change pushes and defect fixes.
Triage and resolve production defects, including coordinating with the State Help Desk and development teams for timely corrections. Monitor and ensure proper system functioning in production environments. Conduct capacity planning and load testing to ensure scalability and performance under peak usage.
Oversee production deployments, ensuring minimal disruption and full compliance with organizational standards. Serve as the primary liaison to the security compliance team, ensuring that production environments meet required frameworks and audit standards.
Enforce and promote adherence to cybersecurity and IT operational frameworks such as NIST and ITIL. Provide support for incident management, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventative measures. Collaborate with developers, testers, and infrastructure teams to maintain a reliable and secure production ecosystem.
Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 5+ years of experience in IT operations, production support, or cloud infrastructure management. Strong experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), including knowledge of capabilities and limitations.
Deep understanding of IT compliance and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ITIL, HIPAA, FedRAMP). Proven ability to manage deployments and production incidents in complex enterprise environments. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
