Job Description
This Superintendent will lead on-site construction activities for historic restoration and interior fit‑out projects across the DC / I‑495 corridor.- Lead on-site construction activities for historic restoration projects
- Oversee revitalization of distressed and abandoned brick buildings
- Balance preservation requirements with modern construction methods
- Manage specialty trade contractors and skilled artisans
- Coordinate with architects, conservators, inspectors, and ownership
- Execute work from historic documentation, surveys, and assessments
- Maintain safety, quality, and protection of historic fabric

The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on Superintendent with a strong background in historic restoration and complex interior construction who thrives in technically demanding environments.- 7+ years of Superintendent experience with commercial construction
- Direct experience with historic restoration or adaptive reuse projects
- Strong knowledge of preservation methods, materials, and sequencing
- Proven ability to manage specialty trades and artisan subcontractors
- Experience working from archival drawings and condition assessments
- Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills with architects, inspectors, and owners
