Housekeeper/Cleaner for Residential 24 bed Unit. Monday - Friday 8A-4:30PM and one Saturday/Sunday each month.
Rate $20/hour

What's the job?
Located in Lawrenceville, GA, this position is responsible for performing all phases of cleaning and custodial services in assigned areas to include:
- Sweep, mop, clean, and disinfect all staff areas, offices and bathrooms on a daily basis.
- Dust and clean all A/C vents on a daily basis; clean all windows and windowsills.
- Plan, organize and direct daily operations of facility's laundry services.
- Note any safety issues which will require immediate notification of Program Coordinator or School Office.
- Keep all Housekeeping Supplies and chemical in direct line of sight of staff. At no time will chemicals or cart be left unattended.
- Participate in Monthly Environment of Care inspections and ensure compliance with Joint Commission Standards of care.

Qualifications:
Education:
- High School diplome, Trade School or GED equivalent preferred
- Minimum one year commercial and/or residential housekeeping experience, preferably in a health care setting. Knowledge of floor care and floor care cleaning equipment is essential.
One (1) year experience in an institutional group setting/school setting preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test, Physical, TB Test and Influenza Vaccine.
- Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
