Engineering Manager with Security Clearance
Engineering Manager with deep experience in RF systems, electromagnetics, and embedded communications platforms to lead a small engineering team. Contributing directly to system design and development while also mentoring engineers and guiding technical execution.
Working closely with scientists and engineers to turn advanced communications concepts into deployable systems. Responsibilities Lead and mentor a small multidisciplinary engineering team Contribute hands-on to the design and development of RF, SDR, and embedded communications systems Design and integrate antenna systems, RF hardware, and embedded platforms Support system architecture, modeling, testing, and integration Use RF modeling and simulation tools such as HFSS Develop systems within power, size, and environmental constraints Support design reviews (PDR/CDR), testing, and field demonstrations Collaborate with internal teams and customers to deliver mission-ready solutions Required Qualifications Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field Experience in RF engineering, electromagnetics, or antenna design Experience designing secure RF, SDR, or embedded communications systems Experience in communications system design, integration, and evaluation Experience with RF modeling and simulation tools (e.g., HFSS) Experience developing embedded systems in production environments Experience supporting DoD programs Experience working with system constraints such as power, size, and form factor Experience building or supporting mesh networks of embedded systems Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences Experience mentoring engineers or leading projects Preferred Qualifications Cybersecurity experience for embedded systems in critical environments Experience with RF noise filtering or interference mitigation Machine Learning experience, particularly reinforcement learning Experience supporting field deployments or customer demonstrations Experience conducting PDRs and CDRs -- Nancy Colwell
