About Our Client
A respected Dallas-based general contractor with ongoing work in healthcare, education, interiors, and ground‑up projects is seeking a Lead Estimator to support and guide preconstruction efforts. This position is ideal for an estimator who's experienced, confident, and ready to step up - but still growing into senior‑level leadership.
You'll work closely with senior preconstruction staff while taking ownership of estimates, subcontractor relationships, and early project strategy.
Job Description- Lead estimating efforts for mid‑size projects and assist senior staff on larger pursuits
- Produce conceptual, schematic, DD, and CD budgets
- Perform takeoffs, quantity surveys, and cost modeling
- Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor bids
- Review plans and specs for scope gaps, constructability issues, and VE opportunities
- Work closely with project teams to align cost with schedule, logistics, and field conditions
- Build relationships with trade partners and maintain updated cost history
- Assist in preparing proposals, bid documents, clarifications, and scopes of work
- Contribute to internal estimating standards, templates, and cost databases

The Successful Applicant- 5-8+ years of estimating experience with a commercial or healthcare GC
- Comfortable leading estimates on small/mid‑size projects and supporting larger pursuits
- Solid knowledge of commercial building systems, and project sequencing
- Strong plan-reading skills and ability to identify gaps/inconsistencies
- Experience with Bluebeam, OST, Procore, or similar platforms
- Strong communication skills with both internal teams and trade partners
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and committed to accuracy
- A team‑first mindset with willingness to grow into a senior role
