RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Network Engineer on behalf of our Fortune 500 telecommunications client in Greenwood Village, CO.

Summary:

This position supports the build, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational readiness of lab-based broadband and RF network environments. The role is heavily focused on RF/coax plant infrastructure and requires strong troubleshooting capabilities within node, amplifier, and outside plant (OSP) environments.

The Network Engineer will be responsible for hands-on support of lab and network infrastructure environments, including RF/coax plant maintenance, node and amplifier troubleshooting, cabling, equipment installation, and physical network setup.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting live broadband or RF network environments and be capable of diagnosing and resolving complex Layer 1 and RF-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform hands-on Layer 1 network build and maintenance activities, including cable routing, installation, terminations, and equipment connectivity
  • Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot coax, Cat5/Cat6, and fiber cabling infrastructure
  • Support RF/coax plant troubleshooting activities, including node, amplifier, and signal-path diagnostics
  • Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of outside plant (OSP) network environments
  • Install, configure, and support physical network devices and broadband access equipment, including ONUs and related hardware
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity, signal degradation, and physical infrastructure issues within lab and operational environments
  • Label, organize, and document network equipment, patching infrastructure, and cable management to established standards
  • Maintain clean, scalable, and operationally ready lab environments for engineering and testing teams
  • Support outage response, infrastructure remediation, and ongoing network maintenance activities as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Hands-on experience supporting RF/coax broadband network environments
  • Experience troubleshooting nodes, amplifiers, RF signal paths, or plant infrastructure
  • Strong Layer 1 troubleshooting and physical network infrastructure experience
  • Experience with coax, Cat5/Cat6, and fiber cabling installation, termination, and testing
  • Familiarity with OSP (Outside Plant) or broadband plant maintenance environments
  • Experience installing and supporting physical network hardware and connectivity infrastructure
  • Ability to accurately document, label, and maintain organized network environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic mindset with the ability to resolve infrastructure-related issues independently
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting broadband, cable, or ISP network environments
  • RF troubleshooting or RF maintenance experience within HFC/coax plant environments
  • Experience working with network nodes, amplifiers, power systems, or RF distribution infrastructure
  • Background in lab operations, field operations, or network maintenance environments
  • Familiarity with structured cabling standards and broadband access technologies
  • Experience supporting engineering, testing, or telecommunications lab environments
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.

This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.

Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
