Job Description:
This is a tele position requiring strong cardiac telemetry skills. The role involves caring for emergency department (ED) holds waiting for placement on a unit, primarily MS/Tele, with responsibilities including managing cardiac drips and reading telemetry strips.
Responsibilities:
- Caring for tele patients and managing cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
- Floating to med/surg/tele/overflow units as needed
- Assisting with ED patients with tasks such as vitals, IV starts, and medication administration
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac telemetry experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
- Must pass a dysrhythmia exam and a SIM LAB on the first day of orientation
