Job Description
The key responsibilities of the Manufacturing Process Engineer are:
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes, with a strong emphasis on polymer and extrusion technologies
- Analyze production performance and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
- Troubleshoot process issues on the production floor and implement sustainable corrective actions
- Collaborate closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to support daily operations and long-term initiatives
- Lead or contribute to continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Support new product development efforts, including process scale-up and validation
- Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements, including ISO guidelines
- Evaluate and recommend new equipment, tooling, and technologies to improve manufacturing capability
- Provide technical support and training to operators and other team members as needed

The Successful Applicant
The successful Manufacturing Process Engineer will have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably within plastics, polymers, or extrusion
- Strong knowledge of polymer processing techniques, particularly extrusion
- Experience with fluoropolymers (e.g., PTFE, FEP, PFA, PVDF) is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
- Hands-on, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
