A global leader within the transportation and infrastructure industry is looking to add a Commodity Buyer to their growing procurement team supporting a major transit expansion project in Toronto.

What You'll Be Doing- Lead supplier sourcing, selection, and contract negotiations for assigned commodities and projects
- Manage supplier relationships and oversee supplier performance across quality, cost, delivery, and technical objectives
- Support procurement strategy execution and supplier development initiatives
- Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, operations, and quality teams
- Consolidate project procurement requirements and support project delivery timelines
- Monitor procurement KPIs, supplier risks, and mitigation plans
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors within complex technical and infrastructure environments
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supply chain operations
- Ensure procurement activities align with internal compliance and ethical sourcing standards
- 5-10 years of procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain experience
- Experience within infrastructure, rail, transportation, construction, industrial manufacturing, engineering, or large-scale project environments
- Strong supplier management and contract negotiation experience
- Experience supporting project-based procurement activities
- Comfortable working within matrix organizations and cross-functional teams
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- ERP experience such as SAP, ARIBA, or similar systems
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
