Job Description

The Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing construction projects from preconstruction planning through completion and closeout.
  • Developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets and forecasts to ensure successful delivery.
  • Coordinating and leading communication between owners, design teams, subcontractors and field personnel.
  • Overseeing contract administration, change order management and project documentation.
  • Monitoring project financial performance and proactively identifying opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Leading project meetings and providing regular progress updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting procurement and subcontractor selection activities.
  • Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies to maintain project objectives.
  • Mentoring and supporting Assistant Project Managers and project team members.

The Successful Applicant

The Project Manager must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects for a general contractor.
  • Proven experience overseeing projects ranging from renovations and additions to large-scale institutional or public-sector work.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, cost control and contract administration.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders in complex project environments.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and project documentation platforms.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of historic restoration, government, educational, healthcare or mission-critical projects is highly desirable.
