Mechatronics Technician
Role:
The technicians support the installation, preventative maintenance and repair of hardware and software. They are the first escalation point for any issues that arise from the digitization/capture equipment and support the operations team to reduce downtime of machines to a minimum.They are also responsible for identifying and fixing hardware and software issues themselves or escalating them.
Responsibilities:
- Test: Test machines and systems to ensure they function as intended
- Maintain: Maintain machines and systems
- Repair: Repair machines and systems
- Operate: Operate machines and systems
- Coordinating: Coordinating with a small team to prioritize and collaborate in solving technical issues
- Setup and Maintain: Setup and maintain computer equipment and digitization/capture technology and perform planned preventative maintenance
- Create and Maintain: Create, maintain and execute scripts independently to automate routine activities
- Troubleshoot: Troubleshoot failures in hardware and software targeting improved uptime
- Research: Research new technologies
- Troubleshoot: Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and recommend solutions
- Documentation: Maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions
- Tools: Use hand tools such as wrenches and soldering irons, and power tools such as drills and walk-behind pallet jacks
Qualifications:
- Mechanical engineering knowledge
- Electronics and electrical engineering knowledge
- Computer programming and software development knowledge
- Control systems and automation knowledge
- Mathematics and physics knowledge
- Problem-solving and critical thinking
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (occasionally)
- Ability and expertise with safe use of hand and power tools
- Fluency in English
- Team player

Pay Details: $32.00 to $38.00 per hour
