Diesel Technician
We are looking for a talented **Diesel Technician / Mechanic** to join our Distribution business in **Indianapolis, IN.**
Monday - Friday - Will train on 7AM – 3:30PM before moving to 3:30PM – 12:30AM Shift
**You will make an impact in the following ways:**
+ Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
+ Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
+ Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
+ Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
+ Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
+ Maintain own tools
**In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:**
+ Completes complex internal engine repairs
+ Performs engine overhauls unassisted
+ Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
+ Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. **Education, Licenses, Certifications:**
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
**Experience:**
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products- This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
- A current valid license is required for this role
- Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
