Note: Candidates will be responsible for covering all relocation expenses independently, including travel (airfare), accommodation costs and any other costs.
Required Skills:- License - Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan
- Certification: BLS
- Education: Associate of Science Degree
- Must Have: NICU experience. Must be current or within the last year.
- Technology: Cerner, High Frequency Oscillating Ventilator, Servo I and U
- Note: ICU workers with only long term care facility experience will not work. No CRT candidates.
- On Call: No Block Scheduling: Yes.
- Under general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, delivers life-support, resuscitation, monitoring and various medical gases therapy to patients.
- Performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures to Intensive Care and General Practice Units patients.
- Maintains clinical expertise for Departmental assignments at various business units throughout, as assigned.
- Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians and other system employees as needed, regarding patient care needs.
- Adequately documents all aspects of patient care.
- Supervises, directs and delegates to Respiratory Therapists, Respiratory orients, externs and students, as assigned.
- Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information.
- Two years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience.
