Emergency Medicine Site Medical Director (SMD) - Locum Opportunity in Florida! We are seeking an accomplished physician leader to serve as Site Medical Director (SMD) in Emergency Medicine. This role combines clinical practice with administrative leadership, making it ideal for a dynamic professional dedicated to elevating patient care and optimizing emergency department operations.
Position Highlights Facility: 282-bed hospital (non-trauma designation) Specialty Programs: Certified Stroke Center, robust hospitalist and pediatric services Emergency Medicine Coverage: Includes two freestanding EDs connected to the main hospital Shift Details: 10-hour shifts, overseeing 130???180 patients per day Support: Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) on staff in the ED Candidate Profile Prior SMD or ASMD experience strongly preferred Skilled in monitoring and improving key performance indicators (KPIs) in healthcare Proven ability to lead teams through change and improve operational outcomes Comfortable managing patient volumes comparable to Gulf Coast Hospital This is an exceptional leadership opportunity for a physician ready to impact both patient care and system performance.
