This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the Pendergrass, Georgia area, at a company where effort is rewarded. To succeed in this role, you will need to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close.

• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
• In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
• Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
• Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
• Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
• Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
• Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
• Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision
• Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable
• Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting
• Take part in various department-wide initiatives
• Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions
• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks - Adeptness in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge of Full Cycle Accounting
• Month end closings experience desired
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Foundational knowledge in Annual Financial Reporting
• Ad Hoc Reporting experience
• Be detailed, flexible, and organized
• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
• 2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
• Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
• Knowledgeable of ERP systems
• Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
• Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
