This hospital is Magnet designated, a Level I Trauma Center, and a Comprehensive Stroke Center—providing a high-quality, supportive environment for central sterile processing professionals.

• Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician (SPD Tech) / Central Sterile Technician
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,220 – $1,310
• Location: Park Ridge, IL 60068 (Chicago metro)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (June 29, 2026 – September 26, 2026)
• Shift: 8-hour Night Shift (40 hours/week)
• Setting: Hospital sterile processing department, Level I Trauma Center
• Perks: Free parking with shuttle service

• Minimum 3 years of sterile processing experience in a hospital/central sterile setting
• CBSPD or CRCST certification (required)
• Proven experience with tray assembly, sterilization, wrapping, decontamination, instrument inspection, and high-level disinfection
• Travel experience required (no first-time travelers)
• Experience with Sensitrac instrument tracking system preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred; manager approval required if EPIC experience is not present

• Assemble, inspect, and prepare surgical trays and instruments for quality, completeness, and patient safety
• Perform sterilization cycles, wrapping, decontamination, and high-level disinfection following hospital and manufacturer protocols
• Document and track instruments using Sensitrac and EPIC systems to ensure surgical readiness
• Conduct instrument inspections and maintenance, reporting issues and coordinating repairs
• Collaborate with OR and clinical staff to support efficient case turnover and sterile processing workflow
• Participate in department orientation, competency assessments, and adhere to hospital sterile processing policies and safety standards
