Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (Neuro Stepdown) position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring neuro stepdown experience and Epic proficiency.
Details- Night shift, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week
- Unit 7A Neurology (Progressive Care/Neuro Stepdown) within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
- Complex neurological and trauma patient population requiring stepdown-level care
- Epic EMR used; experience is required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Block scheduling is not approved
- Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
- Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- NIHSS certification must be present in profile for consideration
- Minimum 2 years of neuro stepdown experience required
- Strong med/surg candidates with NIHSS, ACLS, and stepdown experience may also be considered
- Experience in high-acuity, high-volume hospitals with complex and diverse cases required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
- Provide progressive care nursing to neurological patients in a fast-paced, high-volume trauma environment
- Candidates must demonstrate proven success managing critical situations in large-scale trauma settings
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
