The position spans from December 2024 to June 2025, with 24/7 coverage needs shared alongside the full-time surgical team. This role requires 24/7 on-call coverage and collaboration with an experienced team of physician assistants and hospital staff, using the EPIC electronic medical records system. The facility supports a range of cardiothoracic procedures with a robust surgical infrastructure, including 12 operating rooms and a hybrid OR.
Key Responsibilities: Provide cardiothoracic surgical care with an emphasis on coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG) and heart valve repair/replacement. Handle approximately 1-2 cases per day on average. Participate in 24/7 on-call coverage, with a requirement of 10-14 days per month.
Engage in hospital rounds, clinic consultations, and call-back services as needed.
