Historically, poor documentation of the HCS infrastructure has left existing staff without the full knowledge of all baseline components on which the HCS runs, multiple applications are also being developed by contractors. In order to fill this critical knowledge gap that has been compounded by attrition and ensure that state staff has adequate documentation to support the applications after the contracts are over, we are requesting the services of an HBITS expert technical writer to fully document the infrastructure on which so many depend.

Daily tasks will include:

• Documentation of as-is and to-be server and network infrastructure
• Documentation of Knowledge Base articles
• Maintenance of existing documentation
• Collaborate with technical architects and system programmers to fully document the system design and dependencies
• Work closely with the technical and developer teams (from initial assignment through closure) of infrastructure change requests and update manuals documentation as necessary
• Publish all finished product documentation files (Visio, PDF and Word files) to internal SharePoint site
• Make recommendations and provide guidance to help strengthen the quality, accuracy, and ease of use of written materials
• Analyze process flow and translate processes into diagrams and charts
• Development of Frequently Asked Questions text

• 84 months experience documenting web application server infrastructures providing data such as server role, physical location, network membership, and ownership
• 84 months documenting network diagrams for multiple interconnected networks including firewalls, DNS implementation, and outside network connectivity
• 84 Months documenting Security Architecture diagrams for system security implementation, web applications, and or application services security implementations
• 24 Months creating and updating technical Knowledge Base articles
• 84 months experience in Visio diagramming, word processing, desktop publishing, and graphics
• 36 months experience identifying and documenting single sign-on processes and or Multi-Factor Authentication

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English accredited institution
