- Data Center Project Manager Location: Charlotte, NC Employment Type: Full
This role is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering data center projects safely, on schedule, and within budget while coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, and end clients.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing data center, mission-critical, or high-reliability environments and is comfortable working in live facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end delivery of data center construction and infrastructure projects
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and internal field teams
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, owners, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and site protocols
- Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
- Oversee commissioning, testing, and project closeout activities
- Conduct regular site walks and progress meetings
- Mitigate project risks and proactively resolve issues Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience in data center, mission-critical, or complex commercial construction
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure (power, cooling, fire protection, low voltage, or MEP systems)
- Experience managing projects in live or operational facilities preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong budgeting, scheduling, and contract management skills
- Proficiency with project management tools (Procore, MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
