Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity IMC/Cardiovascular Unit position requiring a compact RN license and 2+ years of experience.
Details- - 20-bed high acuity Intermediate Care unit within a hospital setting
- Cares for critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring using advanced medical equipment such as ventilators and cardiac monitors
- Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
- - 13-week assignment length
- Supportive team environment with strong interdepartmental relationships across the hospital
- Willing to precept new staff
- Requirements
- Active Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- IMC or high acuity nursing experience preferred
- Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established hospital policies, procedures, and protocols
- Continuously monitor and assess critically ill patients using advanced medical equipment
- Administer medications, fluids, and treatments accurately and in a timely manner per physician orders
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient status, treatments, and nursing interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Follow strict infection control protocols to minimize risk of infection
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain clinical skills and stay current with IMC practices
- Local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate due to facility radius rules
