What You'll Do:- Coordinates, under supervision, with the assistance of the Electrical Engineering Department, the layout and assembly of complex electronic systems in line with current state of the art technology.
- Assists with clarification of design details, and the functional operation of all electronic circuitry, to assure that desired product operational characteristics are obtained.
- Assembles circuitry according to engineering instructions, both written and verbal, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components.
- Recommends changes to engineering design in order to simplify assembly and maintenance of the product in the field.
- Installs, by hand, all electrical components on the product, runs wire and conduit, wires control panels, and other related control devices, including numerical/computer control devices using available hand and power tools and fasteners.
- Repairs or adjusts, according to test results if necessary, in order to achieve desired operational characteristics according to specifications.
- Conducts customer installations, including field repair of electronic components and/or including mechanical drive systems, when qualified to do so, based on prior training and capabilities.
- Assist, if needed, in initial training of customer employees, in order to teach them the operational characteristics, service, maintenance and repair procedures required to maintain the product in service.
