Job Details- Location: Houston, TX 77094 (West Houston) – West Houston (77094) is known for its vibrant community, excellent amenities, and convenient access to major attractions, making it an ideal location for your next travel nursing assignment.
- Assignment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nurse (Cath Lab RN)
- Duration: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 8, 2026)
- Shift: 10-hour days (06:45 AM – 5:15 PM), rotating schedule
- On-Call: Required; must be within 30 minutes of facility (1 weekend every 6 weeks, 4–5 weekdays during a 6-week period)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Minimum 2–3 years of recent, relevant Cardiac Cath Lab RN or Cath Lab Registered Nurse experience
- Active RN license (Texas or compact)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
- Proficiency with EPIC and Mac-Lab systems
- Strong ability to monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
- Experience with IABP, Impella, OCT, and IVUS
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for multidisciplinary cardiac care
- Provide expert nursing care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Prepare patients pre-procedure and provide post-procedure monitoring and education specific to cardiac interventions
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond rapidly to arrhythmias and procedural emergencies
- Operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment including IABP, Impella, OCT, and IVUS
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC and Mac-Lab electronic medical records
- Participate in the on-call rotation and respond promptly to urgent Cath Lab cases as required
- Collaborate with interventional cardiologists, techs, and the multidisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
