Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Outpatient setting requiring 2+ years of experience and EPIC charting experience.
Details- Outpatient Clinic setting within the PT Outpatient unit
- Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday
- Two shifts run 7:00 AM-5:30 PM and two shifts run 8:00 AM-6:30 PM
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Holiday coverage as needed
- May float across county lines if patient care needs require it
- Uses EPIC for charting
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- PT License required (PA or Compact) if applicable
- EPIC charting experience required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience with orthopedic conditions including ankle sprains, DDD, DJD, frozen shoulder, hip fractures, knee injuries, low back pain, and osteoarthritis preferred
- Experience with post-op shoulder repair, post-op spinal surgery, total hip replacement, and total knee replacement preferred
- Experience with neurologic conditions including stroke rehabilitation, TBI, MS, and Parkinson's disease preferred
- Experience with cardiopulmonary conditions including COPD, CHF, and PVD preferred
- Proficiency in modalities such as E-stim, hydrotherapy, iontophoresis, moist heat, TENS, and ultrasound preferred
- Skilled in gait training, myofascial release, McKenzie method, and taping techniques preferred
- Experience with adaptive and assistive devices, crutches, walkers, gait belts, and slings preferred
- Strong documentation skills including evaluations, plans of care, and short/long term goals preferred
- Experience in geriatrics, sports medicine, and vestibular rehabilitation preferred
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and delivery of outpatient rehabilitation services
- Provides home exercise programs and patient/family education
- Trained to recognize and report signs of physical, sexual, or psychological abuse
- May care for COVID-19 patients
- Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
- Candidates will undergo a clinical pre-screen to determine fit before manager interview
- RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days
- Local candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a lower pay rate
- First-time travelers may be considered
