Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Step-Down RN - RNJM

Schedule: 12-Hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Step-Down unit providing care to adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity acute care setting.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in Medical/Surgical Step-Down unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Monitor telemetry and respond to cardiac changes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation
• Follow infection control and patient safety protocols
• Provide patient and family education

Requirements & Preferred Skills:

• Minimum 1–2 years Step-Down and Telemetry experience required
• Acute care hospital experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• ADN or BSN preferred
• Active New York RN license or Compact license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Adult and geriatric patient care experience required
• Experience with EMR systems (Paragon, Pyxis preferred)
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
