Compensation
Pay Rate: $1,600 – $1,960 Weekly (Based on Experience)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support hospital pharmacy operations in an acute care setting. The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure the safe preparation, distribution, and management of medications while maintaining compliance with regulatory and patient safety standards.
Responsibilities- Prepare, package, label, and distribute medications in accordance with hospital policies and pharmacy regulations.
- Process medication orders accurately and ensure timely delivery of medications to patient care areas.
- Maintain medication inventory, including stocking, replenishment, and monitoring of expiration dates.
- Assist with controlled substance management and documentation procedures.
- Support pharmacists with daily inpatient pharmacy operations and medication preparation activities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within pharmacy systems.
- Adhere to all patient safety, infection control, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with medication storage and inventory management to ensure proper handling and compliance.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to support efficient patient care services.
- Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) certification.
- Minimum of one (1) year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
- Ability to meet all facility onboarding and compliance requirements prior to assignment start.
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Familiarity with EPIC or similar electronic health record systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- 13-week travel assignment with potential extension opportunities.
