Position Overview:

The Human Resources Coordinator plays a key role in delivering a seamless and engaging employee experience from day one through every stage of the employee lifecycle. This position supports critical HR operations—including onboarding, compliance, and employee engagement—while ensuring accurate data management and efficient internal processes.

Ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, this role partners across teams to keep HR initiatives organized, compliant, and people-focused.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation by managing new hire processes, facilitating orientation, and ensuring completion of all required documentation
  • Manage offboarding processes including exit procedures, survey distribution, and quarterly reporting on trends and insights
  • Maintain HR records and process employee updates (e.g., transfers, pay changes, terminations) while ensuring accuracy in the HRIS system
  • Support compliance efforts by assisting with compliance testing, maintaining documentation, and identifying potential risks
  • Track employee engagement activities including 30/90-day surveys, reporting, and retention insights
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and benefits, escalating as needed
  • Coordinate pre-employment processes including background checks, license verification, and reference checks
  • Track and manage technician certifications to ensure compliance across the region
  • Support training programs by scheduling sessions and monitoring participation
  • Assist with HR events and internal coordination such as job fairs, open houses, and engagement initiatives
  • Partner with Payroll to communicate employee updates and help ensure accurate pay and time tracking
  • Assist with immigration and visa documentation as needed

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience preferred
  • General knowledge of state and federal employment laws, standards, and best practices.
  • Comfort with HR technologies, as well as standard office and collaboration software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain the integrity of confidential information.
  • Ability to adapt in a changing work environment while remaining calm in volatile situations.
  • Ability to foster and maintain good relationships at all levels.
  • Exceptional listening, reading, communication (written & verbal), and problem-solving skills.

Travel Requirements:

This position does not require regular travel as part of its primary responsibilities. However, occasional travel may be required, up to 10%, primarily for occasional off-site meetings, training sessions, or company events. Travel, when necessary, will be communicated in advance and aligned with business needs.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • This position primarily operates in a professional office environment, requiring the ability to work at a desk for extended periods while using a computer, phone, and standard office equipment.
  • The position involves sitting for extended periods, performing data entry, and engaging in frequent communication via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
  • The role involves regular communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders, both in person and through virtual platforms.
  • The physical demands of the job may include occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of office materials up to 15 pounds.
