Eliassen Group is searching for a Sr. Wireless Network Engineer III to design, deploy, and optimize secure enterprise Wi-Fi across a mission-critical federal environment. The role will perform RF site surveys, troubleshoot interference, and manage controllers and access points while operating within an Agile model.
Expertise with HPE Aruba, Cisco, and related wireless technologies will support reliable, secure connectivity and stakeholder confidence. The engineer will communicate risks and recommendations clearly and contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up.
Clearance: Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required
Salary: 230,000 – 280,000 Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen with an active Top Secret clearance. - Conduct predictive and physical RF site surveys.
- Design, deploy, and tune enterprise wireless networks.
- Troubleshoot RF interference and wireless performance issues.
- Support and maintain wireless controllers and access points.
- Participate actively in Agile execution and technical discussions.
- Communicate technical findings, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
- Contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up in a mission-critical environment.
- Build and maintain strong customer trust through technical expertise, responsiveness, and reliability.
- Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility security clearance.
- 10+ years of network engineering experience with a primary focus on enterprise wireless networking.
- Subject matter expertise designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex enterprise Wi-Fi environments.
- Hands-on experience conducting predictive and physical wireless site surveys, including RF analysis and performance validation.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve RF interference, coverage, and capacity issues in operational environments.
- Hands-on experience managing wireless LAN controllers and enterprise access points.
- Deep understanding of RF propagation and interference mitigation.
- Hands-on experience with HPE Aruba controllers and access points supporting 802.11ax and 802.11be standards.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco wireless, Ubiquity, and Ericsson edge solutions.
- Experience integrating wireless solutions with security systems and monitoring and supporting endpoint connectivity.
- Ability to contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up in a mission-critical operational environment.
- Possess DoD 8140 certification aligned to the 441 Network Operations Specialist work role, such as Network+, Security+, Cloud+, SSCP, CASP+, CISSP, or CCNP Security.
- Required technical certifications include CWSP or equivalent vendor wireless professional certification and Security+.
- This position is designated as essential personnel supporting continuity of operations and may require work during government shutdowns, emergencies, or other critical situations.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for education requirements.
- DoD 8140-aligned certification for the 441 Network Operations Specialist role (examples: Network+, Security+, Cloud+, SSCP, CASP+, CISSP, CCNP Security).
- CWSP or equivalent vendor wireless professional certification.
- Security+ certification.
- Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility security clearance.
