Overview:

We're seeking an experienced Large Market Business Developer to drive new business growth within large and jumbo employer segments.

This role focuses on acquiring and expanding relationships with organizations that have 5,000+ employees and/or $2B+ in annual revenue. The ideal candidate has a proven track record selling benefits consulting, health and welfare solutions, retirement benefits, HR consulting, or related services to large enterprise organizations while engaging senior executives and navigating complex sales cycles.

This is a highly visible role offering the opportunity to build strategic client relationships, influence executive decision-makers, and drive substantial revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute strategic business development plans targeting large and jumbo organizations.

Manage a prospect portfolio of approximately 40-50 enterprise opportunities.

Build relationships with C-suite executives and senior business leaders.

Identify, research, and pursue new logo opportunities.

Lead complex sales cycles from prospecting through contract execution.

Develop strategic pursuit plans for enterprise opportunities.

Create compelling proposals, presentations, and RFP responses.

Conduct executive-level meetings, discovery sessions, and solution presentations.

Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and pursuit teams.

Negotiate contracts and guide opportunities through closing.

Consistently achieve or exceed sales and revenue targets.

Represent the organization at industry conferences, networking events, and business seminars.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required.

10+ years of successful sales experience.

Experience selling benefits consulting, group health, retirement benefits, HR consulting, or related solutions.

Proven success selling to large enterprise organizations.

Experience managing long and complex sales cycles.

Demonstrated success acquiring new business and exceeding sales goals.

Strong executive presence and ability to engage C-level decision-makers.

Experience developing strategic pursuit and account plans.

Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

Ability to articulate sales methodology, prospecting strategy, and pipeline management approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

Life & Health License.

Experience selling to organizations with 5,000+ employees.

Experience selling to organizations with $2B+ annual revenue.

Strong professional network within benefits, HR, and executive leadership communities.

Thought leadership experience through conferences, seminars, or industry organizations.

Proven track record of large enterprise account wins.

Experience expanding revenue within existing enterprise accounts.

Compensation & Benefits:

Base Salary: $191,000 - $200,000
